DESCRIPTION : As a trained professional, the Shelter Advocate 2 will assist survivors with safety, future life-planning and referrals for housing, legal assistance, and medical needs. You will manage a case load and provide advocacy, counseling, and support services to domestic violence survivors and children exposed to domestic violence.
Education / Training:
Bachelors Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related human services field required PLUS one (1) year experience in the field of intimate partner violence AND one (1) year experience working with children in a group or individual setting, required; OR
High School Diploma minimum PLUS three (3) years experience in the field of intimate partner violence AND three (3) years experience working with children in a group or individual setting, required; OR
Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and daily access to a vehicle.
